Bavarian Beer Garden dish:
Obatzter
(Camembert spread with Onion, butter, paprika)
(serves 4)
A very typical Bavarian dish. Usually served with a rustic
country bread, pretzel buns or pretzels and radishes, cucumber or tomato on the side.
You may vary the amounts of spice to your taste. The listed amounts below are somewhat in the middle.
Ingredients:
chive to garnish
Cut Camembert in small pieces, add room temperature butter and cubed onion and spice.
Mix with bare hands or use disposable gloves until you get a crumbly mixture. (See photos below) You may use a fork, but it may be a bit harder. Whatever works for you is fine. Once all ingredients are mixed well, form into ball and put in fridge for 1 hours. Cover bowl with ginger wrap. Take out about 30 min. prior to serving so taste can develop. Lasts a couple of days in the fridge.
Guten Appetit!
