Here you find a selection of projects I put on canvas. Some are my personal ideas others are adapted from things I saw on TV, read in magazines or may be seen on display in stores.
I will always try to put the source there, so you can make it yourself.
Enjoy!

Paper heart on a canvas.
The special layering of the paper pieces gives it a depth dimension.

These are all done the same way, layering the paper to give it a certain depth perception.
They are each on a 12x12 inch canvas.

18 x 24 inch winter night on canvas.
The tree is made with plaster. It makes it come out of the
scene. Buttons of various sorts on the tree as well as animal
buttons on the snowy ground embellish the scene.
My children wanted the scene to show the night with a full moon
so the snow would glitter. So we made it a night and the snow does
glitter a bit as well.

The Peacock
This was a summer project with my children.
The photo really does not do it justice.
The "feathers" are divided on the rim by glitter in 3 hues of the inside color. Took a long time to finish it, since we had to wait all the time for parts to dry and to keep vacuum up the glitter prior to doing the next section.
This canvas is 30 x 24 inches.

Abstract Map Project
Imagine a view from a plane down onto fields separated by streets and highways and now take it to the abstract and here is what you got.
Canvas, plaster cast cut in thin stripes prior to wetting and laying on gives the illusion of the "roads".
Sections then are painted, embellished, and gloss is applied to give it a nice shiny touch.
I got the idea form a German Craft book entitled:
Die Sachenmacher WEIHNACHTSWERKSTATT
You can purchase the book at http://www.jako-o.com. I placed a direct link on the title named above.

Portrait embroidered on canvas.
I saw this in a magazine years ago.....still need to find out which one.
These are my children. I used black embroidery floss. They look quite interesting when you get closer. Different stitches help to achieve a more natural outline.

16x20 inch canvas. Lines are made using plaster. Fields are colored and glossed.
Below is the same canvas size with 3 D paint used prior to applying a top coat to see patterns come through. The top color is plum, which does not show well on the photo.
